The GoGlobal Grantprovides scholarships of up to $500 for middle and high school students to travel abroad as a part of school or community sponsored international learning experiences.
Students from groups historically underrepresented in international travel – such as students of color and students from economically disadvantaged families – are particularly encouraged to apply.
Created in the wake of such transformative grassroots programs as Greenville Goes Global, Project Portage, and Delta Horizons, all of which seek to expand international travel opportunities to the students of the Mississippi Delta, the GoGlobal Grant provides funding for students from any region to achieve their global goals.
Students must first be nominated by an educator, trip leader, or community member who can speak to their maturity, deservedness, and leadership skills. Students will then receive a special link to fill out their application. The current deadline for all materials is April 15, 2016.
Selected recipients of GoGlobal funds will be required to share their experience on our blog site, encouraging other youth to travel and apply for a GoGlobal Grant.
