The Biber Patel College Scholarship Fund, established by 2004 Teach For America Phoenix corps members Joshua Biber and Akshai J. Patel, is available to all Laveen Elementary School students who have been taught, advised or coached by Mr. Biber or Mr. Patel.
 
The money raised through the scholarship fund is aimed at helping prepare and pay for post-secondary education opportunities of students demonstrating extraordinary academic achievement and a commitment to civic responsibility.
