Program Name
Puerto Rico 2012

Program Description

An adventurous group of middle schoolers from Maryland and DC is embarking on a learning journey to beautiful Puerto Rico.

This group of young leaders who have committed to learn Spanish are working hard to learn more about the history, culture and natural wonders of the island. The group is composed of students from different schools in the area. When selected, they are required to participate in all fundraising activities and take organizational roles at each of their schools in preparing community events to teach others about Puerto Rico.

Our goal is to help them develop leadership skills, gain a better perspective on the value of cultural differences and to invest them in learning a new language.

We hope you can help us lower the cost of the trip with your financial support. Most of our students have only dreamed of visitng a place outside of the US. With your help, we will give the kiddos an opportunity of a lifetime!!
