Fundraising 2011

The Spanish Club of East Side High School is getting close to our second international tour! We are very proud of our fundraising efforts and were on track to make it! Until this month we got some bad news from a sponsor who informed us that they wouldn’t have the money they promised. But that is ok, we are going to make it.
We spent this last Saturday selling doughnuts outside of Walmart. We will be there every Saturday until our trip trying to make up for our lost donation. I am attaching some video of the kids working on their salesmanship and selling doughnuts. They had me cracking up. My favorite lines were “I see doughnuts in your eyes!” And “I made these for you!” All of our customers were dying laughing. All in all, in spite of the cold we had a wonderful time together! I can only hope this was a prelude to the lovely adventures we will have in Spain!
